Rosarium Bar and Restaurant
Introduction
The Rosarium is a new bar & restaurant located within The Sidings at Waterloo Station, London. Three different themes pass through the bar and restaurant which are known as, The Secret Garden, The Glass House, and The Terrace. The toilet area was given an eccentric underwater theme.
A Cable Management System of cable tray was double-stacked and installed at high level to distribute the cables from the distribution cupboard. DMX controlled colour changing LED strip lighting was installed along with other styles of purpose-built lighting supplied by Northern Lights. This was to accommodate the different themes within the Rosarium. All lighting is controlled by a Rako lighting control system, which allow the colour changing themes to change sequence by either switching or timer.
We also had to install the electrical services to the kitchen located in the basement under the restaurant. To get the food to the restaurant from the basement, 2 dumb waiter lifts were installed. We worked closely with the lift engineers and the kitchen supply company and to their specifications.
Client Brief
Our client Dollman Ralston instructed us to complete the electrical installation part at the Rosarium & it’s kitchen. The lighting design for the restaurant was given to us by Faber Designs.
Project Delivery
- LED colour changing strip lighting was installed throughout.
- 2-meter-wide Cartwheel lights were installed on suspension kits above a large 20-seater table.
- Table lamps were also installed on the large 20-seater table.
- Large lamp shades were installed over the smaller tables in The Terrace.
- Track spot lighting was installed throughout.
- A new Schneider 14-way TPN distribution board was installed in the Back of House area & behind the toilet block.
- CMS was double stacked & installed at high level for our cabling routes.
- Kitchen supply cables brought down from ceiling CMS in power poles & voids into stud walls to final locations.
